Here's the short video on how to make Prawn/Eral Varuval

Method
Clean, wash and devein the shrimp. Wash it with ¼ tsp of turmeric powder.

To the shrimp add red chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder, ginger garlic paste, salt and 1 tsp of oil.

Mix everything really well and let it sit for 10-15 minutes. If you dont have time, you can start cooking the prawns straightaway.

In a kadai heat the oil , crackle 1/4 tsp of cumin seeds/jeeragam and add the curry leaves. wait till the curry leaves turns crispy.

When it turns crispy add the shrimp mixed in masala to the kadai.

Now sauté for a min, the prawns/shrimp will start to change color.

At this stage add sprinkle ½ cup of water and let the shrimp cook.

The prawns will cook, water will evaporate and the oil will start to separate out. At this stage switch off the stove.
