 Fish Egg or Roe is a lump or a bag of tiny eggs of any fish varieties. Fish Eggs can be prepared in different ways, this fish egg fry is one among them. It is usually difficult to get just the Fish Egg, but whenever I see it in the market I do buy them. Fish Eggs are delicious, healthy and loaded with nutrients. Ingredients

Fish Egg

300 g 

Red Chilli Powder

1.5 tsp

Coriander Powder

¾ tsp

Turmeric Powder

½ tsp

Black Pepper Powder

¼ tsp

Salt

As needed

Oil

For frying

Lemon

1 small vedge

Benefits of Fish Eggs

Fish eggs is loaded with Omega-3 fatty acids, which is crucial for proper brain function, heart health and reduces the inflammation in the body which might lead to other chronic diseases. 

Fish Eggs is a great source of fat-soluble vitamin D which helps in keeping the bones and teeth healthy and strong. The omega-3 fatty acids, along with Vitamin D keeps the heart healthy and helps in absorbing healthy fats by the body.

Fish Eggs are another great source of Vitamin B12 which helps in good mental health and proper functioning of brain.

Fish Eggs helps in cleansing the blood and increases the amount of hemoglobin in the blood. Consuming fish eggs helps in fighting anemia.

Another important health benefit of Fish eggs is it helps in preventing Alzheimer’s disease.

Fish Eggs helps in boosting the immune system. Prostate cancer can be prevented by eating fish eggs regularly to treat and occasionally to prevent the occurrence of prostate cancer.

Method

Wash and clean the fish egg bags.

There will be thin layer of transparent skin on top the egg bag. Slightly cut it with knife or scissors and peel off the skin.

Cleaned and washed Fish Egg

Add red chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, black pepper powder and salt.

Sprinkle little water and mix well until the masala is thoroughly coated on the fish eggs.

Cover and let it rest for about 20-25 minutes.

Heat oil in a tawa, add the fish egg to the tawa.

Cook evenly on both the sides on low flame. It takes approximately about 1.5 min to 2 min to cook on each side.

When cooked thoroughly, remove from the tawa and transfer it to a plate.

Similarly cook rest of the fish egg bags.

Finally drizzle lemon juice and serve it hot.

Yes, super tempting, healthy and delicious Fish Egg Fry is ready to be enjoyed. Serve it hot with White Rice and Rasam.
