As a parent we are responsible to give our kids healthy, nutritious and yummy foods. When it comes to evening snacks we have to think something new all the time. This same uppu urundai is otherwise called as kaara kozhukattai for Vinayaka Chathurthi in India. Vinayaka Chathurthi is the birthday of Lord Ganesha celebrated all over India and many other parts of the world by the Indians. Kozhukattai is nothing but a rice dumpling made by steaming, it can be made both sweet and spicy version. Here I have made the Kaara Kozhukattai/Uppu urundai/Neer urundai the spicy version and I will be posting sweet version of kozhukattai in the future post.
