Turmeric Tea Recipe/Turmeric Ginger Tea/Manjal Tea/Manjal Inji Tea/Immune Boosting Tea – How to make Turmeric Tea with step by step photos and Video


Turmeric Tea is an extremely healthy tea, which helps in building strong immune system and is a wonderful anti-inflammatory. Regular consumption of turmeric tea helps in fighting common cold, cough and infections. I have added adhimadhuram/liquorice which helps in maintaining a healthy respiratory tract, boost immunity, digestion and helps in treating chronic inflammation. Another important ingredient added is ginger, which helps in controlling nausea and has high anti-inflammatory properties. Do try out this healthy immune boosting tea and stay healthy. Ingredients
Water
2 ½ cups
Turmeric Powder/Manjal Thool
1 tsp
Adhimadhuram/Liquorice
1 small piece crushed
Ginger/Inji
1 small piece crushed
Honey/Thaen
1.5 tsp
Black Pepper Powder/Milagu Thool

Method
Heat 2 ½ cups of water in a sauce pan.

When the water comes to rolling boil add 1 tsp of turmeric powder, mix really well.

The water will start to boil again, at this stage add the crushed adhimadhuram.

Then add the crushed ginger and mix everything well.

Let everything mix well and let it boil for about 4-5 minutes. Now switch off the stove.

Filter the Turmeric Tea through a strainer into a tall glass.

Add 1 ½ tsp of honey to the turmeric tea/turmeric ginger tea.

Add a dash of black pepper powder and mix everything really well.

Yes, super healthy and delicious Turmeric Tea is ready to be enjoyed.

Suggestions:
I have added Adhimadhuram, if it is not available in the place you reside then you can very well skip it.
You can always add few drops of lemon juice, before serving the tea.
I have added honey for added taste; instead you can add panang kalkandu when boiling the tea and then filter it.
