Today, I am going to share a very healthy and super nutritious Dates & Nuts Ladoo that can be made in less than 15 minutes. It is an excellent source of proteins, vitamins, minerals, wonderful energy booster and provides good fat that is needed for your body. Here’s how to make Dates & Nuts Ladoo with step by step photos…

Ingredients

Dates/ பேரிச்சம் பழம் [seedless]

1 cup

Almonds/Badam/ பாதாம்

½ cup

Cashew nuts/ முந்திரி பருப்பு

½ cup

Walnuts/ அக்ரூட்

¼ cup

Raisins/ உலர்ந்த திராட்சை

2 tbsp

Ghee/ நெய்

2 tsp

Method

Dry Fruits & Nuts

Heat 2 tsp of ghee in a kadai/pan.

Add almonds/badam, cashew nuts, walnuts to the pan.

Roast the nuts on low flame until nice aroma arises and they turn crunchy.

Switch off the flame and transfer it to a plate.

Now add the dates and raisins to the same pan and roast on low flame.

Roast the dry fruits for 30-40 seconds and switch off the flame. Transfer it to a plate.

Let the nuts, dates and dry fruits cool down.

Add the nuts to the mixer jar and grind it to coarse powder. You can also chop them to fine pieces with knife.

Transfer the ground nuts to a plate.

Add the dates and raisins to the mixer jar and grind it.

Now add the nuts to the dates mixture and grind everything together.

Transfer it to a bowl and start making ladoos as shown.

Yummy, healthy and delicious sugar free Dates & Nuts Ladoo is ready to be enjoyed.

Suggestions:

The color of the dates ladoo depends on the dates used. If you prefer the ladoo to be sweet then you can increase the number of Dates used.

Roasting dry fruits on low flame increases the shelf life of the ladoo.

Roasting the nuts is important because it makes the ladoo crunchy.

The choice of nuts totally depends on the availability of the nuts you have at home.

If the mixture dries up and if you are not able to make ladoos then warm it up in a pan/kadai or slightly heat it up in microwave and make the ladoos.
