Method

Wash the chicken breast pieces thoroughly with water.

Cut them into cubes or into thin strips.

Marinating the Chicken:

Add the cut chicken cubes to a bowl.

Add ginger & garlic paste, red chilli flakes, egg, soya sauce and salt to the chicken. Mix everything really well until thoroughly combined.

Finally add corn flour to the chicken and mix really well. First add 3 tbsp of corn flour to the chicken and mix and then if needed you can add another tbsp. of corn flour and mix well. Cover it and keep it aside for about 30 minutes.

Frying the Chicken:

Heat oil in a kadai for frying the chicken.

When the oil is hot enough, add the chicken pieces slowly in to the oil. Do not over crowd the chicken when frying them.

Fry them evenly on all sides to golden brown color.

Cook the chicken until done and drain it out of the oil.

Similarly fry rest of the chicken pieces in batches. Keep the fried chicken aside.

Preparing Honey Garlic Chicken:

Heat 2 tbsp of oil in a pan, add the chopped garlic, ginger and green chilies.

Fry them well for about a minute or until nice aroma arises.

Now add red chilli sauce, soya sauce, tomato ketchup, vinegar and mix really well.

Let it come to a boil, now add 1/2 tsp black pepper powder, 1/2 tsp of red chilli flakes [optional], 2 tbsp of honey, little salt and mix really well.

Add 60 ml of water, mix well and let it come to boil. The sauce will become thick.

At this stage add the fried chicken pieces, chopped spring onions and mix well. Now switch off the stove.

Frying the sesame seeds

Heat a pan, add 1-2 tsp of sesame seeds and fry on low heat. The sesame seeds will start to pop and will start to change color.

At this stage, switch off the stove.

Finally add the roasted sesame seeds on the Honey Garlic Chicken and serve it hot.
