Method
Clean, wash and devein the prawns. Wash it thoroughly with ¼ tsp of turmeric powder.

Beat one egg in a bowl and use only very little of this mixture to the prawns.

Add all the ingredients mentioned in the table except the oil and curry leaves to the prawns.

Mix the masala well, so that it coats on all the prawns. Cover and keep it aside for about 30 minutes.

Heat oil in pan and shallow fry the prawns. The original recipe calls in for deep frying but I did the shallow frying to reduce the oil content.

Similarly fry all the prawns and drain them on a paper towel. Fry some curry leaves, garnish it over the prawns and serve them hot.

Delicious, spicy and yummy Prawn Pepper Fry is ready to be enjoyed.

Note:

Do not add water when mixing the spices with the prawn, if you find it a little watery because of the egg, you can adjust it by adding 1 or 2 tsps of rice flour or all purpose flour.
