South Indian Quick & Easy Shrimp/Prawn Fry

This shrimp/prawn fry is very easy to make and can be done in 15 -20 min's. When you are in a hurry to make some non -vegetarian side dish, this can be the one you can count on. Ingredients
Shrimp/Prawns
250 gm [washed,cleaned & deveined]
Ginger & Garlic paste
1 tbsp
Cumin powder
2 tsp
Chilli powder
2 tsp
Coriander powder
1 tsp
Turmeric powder
½ tsp
Oil
2 tsp
Curry leaves
6
Salt
As needed
Method
Clean, wash and devein the shrimp. Wash it with ¼ tsp of turmeric powder.


To the shrimp add ginger & garlic paste, chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder, salt and mix them well.

In a kadai heat the oil and add the curry leaves. When it turns crispy add the shrimp mixed in masala to the kadai. Now sauté for a min, add ½ cup of water and let the shrimp cook.
When the shrimp is cooked keep frying until the shrimp crispy as shown in the photo.

    Using Prawn we can make Kuzhambu with suraikkai.We can make like vatha kuzhambu and put the boiled suraikkai and then cleaned prawns in it.
