Sweet Corn Soup

Sweet corn soup is a very yummy and healthy soup for kids and adults as a starter or as a evening snack. Meanwhile do checkout other interesting and tempting Starters/Evening Snacks/Appetizers here.


Sweet Corn                       - 1 cups (cleaned from cob or from frozen pack)
Milk                                    - 1/2 cup
Green Chillies                    -1 or 2
Corn starch                       - 1 tsp
Coriander leaves              - 1 tbsp
Salt and Pepper                - as needed 
Sugar                                  - 1/4 tsp


1. Get the corn from the cob using the knives. Here I have used the frozen corn. Pressure cook the corn with a cup of water for 2 whistles. 

2.  Just keep 2 tbsp of corn and the water in which it was cooked for later, and blend the rest of the corn in the mixer along with green chillies.

3. Add the milk, sugar, reserved corn, the water in which corn was cooked and bring it to boil along with coriander leaves for about 4 to 5 min. Next mix the corn starch in 2 tbsp of water and add it to corn. Add enough amount of salt and pepper and garnish with cilantro.

 Note: If you don't want the skin, strain it with colander. But I have used it as it is.

Yes now yummy Sweet Corn Soup is ready to be served.
