Here’ s a short video on how to make Vendakkai Mor Kuzhambu
Method
Whisk the yogurt  really well with needed water and keep it aside. Wash and soak the rice, thoor dal, dhania/coriander seeds, cumin seeds mentioned under grinding for about 20-25 minutes.

Wash the vendakkai/okra and chop to 1 inch pieces and keep it ready.

Drain the water from the dal and add it to the mixie jar. Add coconut, green chillies, ginger and curry leaves to the mixer.

Add enough water and grind it to fine paste and keep it ready.

Heat 3-4 tsp of oil in kadai/pan. Add the chopped ladies finger/vendakkai,little salt and mix well.

Saute well for 3-4 minutes. The Ladies finger/Vendakkai will change to brown color and shrink. At this stage, switch off the stove.

Heat oil in a saucepan or kadai, splutter mustard seeds, cumin seeds, then add urad dal and fry to light golden color.

Now add dry red chillies, curry leaves and and wait until it turns crispy.

Add the ground coconut paste, along with ½ to ¾ cup of water.

Stir really well and let it cook for about 40-50 seconds.

Add ½ tsp of turmeric powder and mix really well until well combined. By now the coconut mixture will become thick and cooked.

At this stage add the butter milk, required salt and mix really well. Let it cook for 2-3 minutes on low flame.

After it comes to boil and bubbles appear, add the cooked okra/vendakkai and give a good stir.

Once again let it come to boil, mix well and then switch off the stove.

Yummy, delicious and healthy Vendakkai Mor Kuzhambu is ready to be enjoyed. Serve it hot with steam cooked white rice, potato fry or yam fry and enjoy the meal.
