Paneer Bhurji

Paneer Bhurji is a kids delight, ok!!! Now I am wrong it’s not just kids it’s everyone’s favorite. Just make it as stuffing for chapattis and pack it for lunch, they will surely gobble it all. I make paneer bhurji on vegetarian days when I need to replace eggs and still give the kids exact replica of egg bhurji. Paneer bhurji is so yummy and delectable, just give it a shot and you will surely like it…

Here’s how to make Paneer Bhurji with step by step photos…

Ingredients

Paneer/Cottage cheese
300 gm
Onion
2 [finely chopped]
Tomato
1 [finely chopped]
Green Bell Pepper
1 [finely chopped]
Yellow Bell Pepper
1 [finely chopped]
Green chillies
3 or 4 [finely chopped]
Ginger & Garlic paste
1 tsp
Red chilli powder
½ tsp
Coriander powder
1 tsp
Garam masala powder
½ tsp
Cumin powder
1 tsp
Cumin seeds
½ tsp
Coriander leaves
2 tbsp finely chopped
Turmeric powder
¼ tsp
Oil
2 tbsp
Salt
As needed
Lemon juice
for garnishing

 Method

Shred the paneer in blender or grate it in the grater. I just chopped the paneer with a knife to very fine pieces.

Heat oil in a kadai add cumin seeds followed by onion and sauté until transparent. Add ginger & garlic paste and saute until the raw smell goes off.

Add the green chillies, green bell pepper, red bell pepper and saute until soft.

Now add tomatoes and stir well but it should not turn mushy.

Add red chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder, salt and stir really well until raw smell goes off.

Add the chopped paneer and stir well until all the masala blends well for about 4-5 min.

Finally add the coriander leaves and stir well for about a min. Now switch off the stove.

Serve the paneer bhurji hot with wedge of lemon.

So why do you have to wait, just enjoy…
