Mango Chocolate Marble Cake Recipe [Egg less & Butter less]/Marble Chocolate Cake Recipe with step by step photos

This Mango Chocolate Marble Cake is for the second Home Baker’s Challenge started by Mrs. Priya Suresh and hosted by Mrs. Sangee Vijay. Thank you very much Mrs. Priya Suresh and Mrs. Sangee Vijay for this wonderful and exciting challenge.

This month challenge was to bake mango and chocolate cake announced by Mrs. Sangee Vijay. Though she gave both egg and the eggless version, I chose to do the eggless and the butter less version which was simply superb and yummy.

Here’s how to make Mango Chocolate Marble Cake with step by step photos…

Ingredients
All Purpose Flour
2 cups
Baking Powder
1 ½ tsp
Baking Soda
½ tsp
Sugar
¾ cup
Salt
¼ tsp
Cocoa powder
¼ cup mixed in 2tbsp of warm water
Mango Puree
1 cup
Milk
¼ cup
Butter Milk
¼ cup
Vanilla
1 tsp
Oil
5 tbsp
Author: Priya Anandakumar

Method
Preheat the oven to 180 ˚C, grease the baking pan with non-stick spray or butter or use a parchment paper.

For mango puree, I cut one big mango pulsed the flesh part in the mixer. If you are using small mango use about 2 of them.

In a bowl sift together flour, baking soda, baking powder, then mix the salt in the flour well and keep it aside.

In a small bowl add cocoa powder and 2 tbsp of warm water and mix well.

In another big bowl mix oil and sugar together, then to this add vanilla extract, mango puree, milk, butter milk and mix well.

Add the flour mixture to the mango mixture and mix until everything is combined well.

Now transfer half the mango batter to another bowl and add this cocoa paste and combine well.

Now both mango batter and chocolate batter are ready

Add mango and chocolate batter alternatively for checker board pattern. I used both the loaf pan and the round pan. I made checker pattern in the loaf pan and swirls in the round pan.

Bake the batter in the oven the round pan cooked in 20 min and the loaf pan cooked in about 40 – 45 min or until done. Check by inserting a knife or toothpick which will come out clear.

Delicious Mango Chocolate marble cake is ready to be enjoyed.

Suggestion

I used two different pans to make two different patterns but you can make a zebra pattern like this. Pour some mango batter to the pan and pour chocolate batter on the middle of the mango batter then pour mango batter on the middle of the chocolate batter vice versa till the batter finish.

When baked it will make a zebra pattern.

In case you want to use butter you can replace oil with 1/2 cup of melted butter.

Thank you all for visiting my blog, please come back again for yummy delicious cakes.
