Oats Carrot Smoothie – Healthy & Light Breakfast Smoothie

Today I am going to share with you all a very light, healthy and filling breakfast smoothie. You can make this smoothie is no time and it can also be served as snack between meals. The carrots offers vitamin A & C, dates offer iron & minerals, milk provides calcium & minerals and oats gives enough fibre and energy. Here’s how to make Oats Carrot Smoothie with step by step photos…

Ingredients
Oats
3 tbsp
Milk
1 cup [boiled and cooled]
Carrot
1 large
Dates
2 [pitted]
Panang Kalakandu/Sugar/Honey
2 pieces/2 tsp
Almonds/Raisins
1 tsp finely chopped [For Garnishing]
Preparation time: 5 minutes        
Cooking time: 10-12 minutes       
Makes: 2 cups

Method

Add ½ cup of water to the oats and cook until soft and switch off the stove. Let it cool.

Peel the carrot and cut it to pieces. Cook the carrots in water for 5-7 minutes or until soft. Let it cool.

Now add cooked oats, milk, dates, panagkalkandu/sugar/honey and cooked carrots to the mixer and blend until smooth.


Pour it into a glass and garnish it with chopped nuts/raisins and enjoy this refreshing and healthy breakfast.
