Keep all the ingredients ready.

In a saucepan heat the milk real good, switch off the stove add the butter and keep stirring until its melted. Cool to lukewarm.

In a separate bowl, beat the eggs real good with a whisker. Now add sugar, cinnamon, vanilla extract and beat really well.  Then add the milk slowly and mix until well combined.

Place the bread pieces in a greased bowl. Now sprinkle the raisins. Pour the milk mixture on top of the bread.

Arrange another layer of bread, sprinkle the raisins and pour the milk. The bread should be soaked fully in the milk.

Preheat the oven for 10 min. Bake it at 180 degree C for 45 to 50 min or until set. Serve warm.

It can be served with bread pudding sauce, or the kids love it just like that. Any way I have posted the bread pudding sauce here.
