Here’s how to make Carrot Kosumalli with step by step photos…

Preparation time: 10 -12 minutes
Cooking time: 2-3 minutes

Wash and soak the moog dal for about 1 hour.

Wash, peel and grate the carrots.

Heat oil in a pan, splutter mustard seeds. Now add the cumin seeds and urad dal when it starts to change colour add the green chillies, curry leaves and fry for about 20 secs. Switch off the stove.

Drain all the water from moong dal, wash it with clean water one more time. Drain the water completely.

Now add the moong dal, lemon juice, salt and mix it with the carrots.

Add the tempering to the carrot and mix everything really well.  Add the finely chopped cilantro and stir it well.
