Sprouted Moong Dal Salad/Green Gram Salad


Here’s a very healthy and filling salad…



Ingredients

Moong sprouts
2 cups
Onion
1 finely chopped
Tomato
1 finely chopped
Green chili
1 finely chopped
Carrot
2 tbsp grated
Cucumber
2 tbsp finely chopped
Lemon juice
2 tsp
Garam masala powder
¼ tsp
Cumin powder
¼ tsp
Black pepper powder
½ tsp
Salt
As needed

Method

Here’s how to make sprouts…

Soak the whole moong dal (green gram dal) for about 10 to 12 hours.

After that wash it well and drain the water. Transfer the moong dal to a muslin cloth, tie it and hang it aside for a day.


Sprinkle some water every 5-6 hours to keep the cloth damp. After about 10 -12 hours the sprouts will start to emerge. Leave it aside for another 5 -6 hours for the sprouts to grow well. Make sure you just sprinkle some water to keep it damp enough.

Here’s how to make the salad…

Mix everything together in a bowl. Add lemon juice and salt according to your taste.

Delicious moong sprout salad is ready to be enjoyed.
