Apple Halwa

Today I am so happy and excited because this is my 200th post, this is all possible because of all of your encouragement. Exactly this day five months back I started blogging and I have made lot of nice friends, learnt a lot of new things and I am having a wonderful experience. For the 200th post I wanted to do something special and delicious because this is my special dedication to all of you.

Here’s Apple Halwa with step by step photos…

MY SPECIAL DEDICATION TO ALL MY READER’S ….

 Ingredients

Apples (red or green)
4
Milk [whole milk]
200 ml
Sugar
4 tbsp [adjust to taste]
Cardamom/Elachi
3 crushed
Ghee
1 ½ tbsp
Cashew nuts
6 -8 finely chopped
Raisins
6-8
Orange food color
One pinch

Method

Wash and peel the apples (I used Gala) remove the core, grate them with the grater.

In a non stick pan heat 1 tbsp of ghee, add the grated apple and stir on high flame until there is no moisture.

Add the sugar, cardamom and mix well until the sugar is blended well.

Now add the milk, food color and cook for about 15 – 20 min in medium flame, keep stirring. Cook until all the milk evaporates and the apples come to halwa consistency.

In a small pan heat ½ tbsp of ghee, fry the cashew nuts and raisins, add them to the apple halwa.

Delicious Apple Halwa is ready, so why do you have to wait go on and enjoy….

Suggestions:
Apple halwa can be made very quickly and easily it takes just 20 - 25 mins.

I have grated the apples, you can run the apples in blender to coarse consistency and make the halwa.

If the apples are really sweet, reduce the amount of sugar.

Thank you all for visiting my blog and please keep coming back for yummy and sweet dishes.

Until then I am signing off…
