Simple & Quick Moong Dhal Dosa/Moong Dal Dosai Recipe

Moong Dhal dosa is very simple and delicious dosa. It is so easy just soak and grind and make dosas, no fermentation needed. It is very healthy and can be made within minutes. I served my moong dhal dosa with cilantro chutney.

Here’s how to make it…

Ingredients
Moong dhal
2 cups
Rice (Idli or Raw rice)
¼  cup
Green chillies
5 chopped
Ginger
1 inch piece chopped finely
Asafoetida
2 pinches
Cumin seeds
½ tsp
Curry leaves
5 finely chopped
Salt
As needed
Turmeric powder
¼ tsp
Cilantro
2 tsp finely chopped
Preparation time: 15-20 minutes
Cooking Time: 10-15 minutes

Method
Wash and soak moong dhal and rice for 3 to 4 hours. Then grind moong dhal, rice, green chillies, ginger and salt together in the mixer or grinder. The consistency should not be thick nor very thin, it should be like dosa batter.

Now add the cumin seeds, asafoetida, curryleaves, cilantro, turmeric powder and mix well. You can add 1/2 cup of finely chopped onions to the batter as well.

Heat tawa, pour one big ladle of batter and make dosa. Add few drops of oil around the edges or use non stick spray. Cook evenly on both sides to golden brown.

Yummy moong dhal dosa is ready, can be served with any spicy chutney.
