Potato Sandwich

Potato sandwich is a very easy, quick and healthy sandwich that we can make. If you have just potatoes and some spices it is more than enough. Here I have used cheese and tomatoes which is totally optional.

Here’s how to make it with step by step photos…

4 slices
3 boiled and mashed
Green chillies
2 finely chopped
½ inch finely chopped
Cumin Seeds
½ tsp
Lemon Juice
1 tbsp
Garam Masala Powder
¼ tsp
2 tsp finely chopped
Butter Spread
1 tbsp
Cheese Slice
2 slices
1 thinly sliced
As needed

In bowl add the mashed potatoes, green chillies, ginger, cumin seeds, garam masala powder, salt and lemon juice. Mix them really good.

Now lightly apply the butter spread on the bread, on top of it spread a thin layer of potato mixture evenly.

Heat the tawa over medium heat, apply ¼ tsp of oil and place the bread on it with the potato side facing down.

Let it cook for about 2-3 min (it should turn golden brown in the bottom). Do not turn the bread immediately, the potatoes will come apart. Repeat the same for all the breads.

Now arrange the tomatoes followed by a cheese slice, cover it with the other bread. Now place the sandwich on the tawa for 20 sec for the cheese to melt.

Yes yummy potato sandwich is ready, slice it and serve with ketchup or chutney.

Note: You can make open sandwich, after removing it from the griddle just sprinkle some pepper and have it. You need not layer it with cheese and tomatoes.
