Cabbage Manchurian is an Indo-Chinese Recipe, where the shredded cabbage is mixed with Indian Spices, made into balls. Then the Manchurian Sauce is prepared by adding different types of sauces and the fried balls are mixed in it. Here’s how to make Cabbage Manchurian with step by step photos and Video

Ingredients
Cabbage
2 cups
Red Chilli Powder
1 tsp
Black Pepper Powder
½ tsp
Ginger & Garlic Paste
2 tsp
Corn Flour
2 tbsp
Maida/All Purpose Flour
2 tbsp
Oil
For frying
Salt
As needed

For Making Manchurian Sauce
Oil
1 tbsp
Garlic
1 tsp finely chopped
Ginger
1 tsp finely chopped
Onion
1 finely Chopped
Capsicum
1 finely Chopped
Soya Sauce
1 tbsp
Red Chilli Sauce
1 tbsp
Tomato Ketchup
3 tbsp
Vinegar
2 tsp
Red Chilli Flakes
1/ tsp
Black Pepper Powder
¼ tsp
Spring Onions
2 tbsp

Method
Keep all the ingredients ready.

Take a wide bowl, add 2 cups of shredded cabbage.

Now add ginger & garlic paste, red chilli powder, black pepper powder, corn flour, maida/apf, salt t to the bowl.

Mix everything really well. Apply little pressure when applying, after some time the cabbage will release water. This will help in combining the cabbage to form a dough.

Pinch small portions and make small balls as shown.

Heat oil in a pan/kadai to fry the balls, when the oil is hot enough add the balls slowly.

Fry them evenly on all the sides by turning them. When the color of the balls changes to golden brown and the bubbles in the oil has subsided, drain the balls from the oil.

Similarly fry all the balls.

To Make Manchurian Sauce
Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan, add 1 tsp of garlic finely chopped and 1 tsp of ginger finely chopped. Saute for few seconds until the color starts to change.

Add 1 cup of finely chopped onions, little salt and saute until they turn translucent.

Addd 1 cup of finely chopped capsicum and saute for about a minute.

Add 1 tbsp of Red chilli sauce, 1 tbsp of soya sauce, 3 tbsp of tomato ketchup, 2 tsp of vinegar.

Mix everything really well. Add ½ cup of water and give stir.

When it comes to boil add 1.5 tbsp of spring onions, ¼ tsp of red chilli flakes, ¼ tsp of black pepper powder and mix everything well.

Now add the fried cabbage balls to the pan.

Mix everything really well, until all the balls are evenly coated with the sauce and switch off the stove.

Yes, delicious and super tempting Cabbage Manchurian is ready.

Finally sprinkle spring onions and serve it hot with fried rice or even with simple ghee rice.
