Capsicum & Onion Uthappam

The journey of idli batter is longer compared to any other batter. Day one and two we make idlis, day three we make dosas and the left over batter on day four we can make uthappams. The sour taste of the batter along with the vegetables gives extraordinary flavor and taste to it.

Ingredients

Idli batter                                          2 cups
Bell pepper (Capsicum)                  1 chopped finely
Onion                                                 1 small chopped finely

Method

Heat the dosa tawa in the stove,  pour one big ladle of batter on it. Make sure uthappam is thick and not thin like dosa.

Now sprinkle the bell pepper and onion over the batter, and a few drops of oil all over the edges or you can use non-stick spray.

Cook on both sides evenly and yummy Onion & Capsicum uthappam is ready to be served.

It can be served with any chutney or sambar, but can be had without any side dish.
